mobility

mobile noun |ˈmōˌbēl|
a decorative structure that is suspended so as to turn freely in the air.

My fascination with mobiles began in the Fall of 2006 as I was planning my senior thesis exhibition for my Bachelors degree. My last semester consisted of 300 hours of hand-sewing which resulted in the mobile above, the perfect culmination of my work as an undergrad. I continue to think about the suspended form and will be devoting the next few weeks to perfect a new product that will debut in my Etsy shop at the end of May. It's exciting to see my work evolve in this way and I look forward to future posts about the process!
In the mean time, how about some mobile inspiration?
