Happy Friday! I have a bunch of images to share with you this morning all of which involve... baked goodies! I baked a cake the other day on a whim and it reminded me how therapeutic baking can be. What a great stress-reliever, outside of all that sugar you end up with afterwards sitting on your kitchen counter tempting you for days...


The cake I made this past week was a Pistachio Olive Oil Cake with a Fig Compote Filling and a Cream Cheese Frosting, a recipe snagged from Ming Thompson recently featured on design*sponge.

Happy weekend everyone from Connecticut where Mcoun apples are officially in season, my absolute favorite time of the year! Only 6 more days until our local orchard starts pressing apples for their famous [unpasteurized] cider! Ahhh, Perfection.
