happy summer!

What a great way to start off the season! Some of you might have seen Ericka Mcconnell's mention on decor8 a few weeks ago where editor Holly Becker featured some stunning photos from Ericka's online portolfio. I was particularly struck by her kid photography. These images are composed in such a casual and natural way, I can't help but feel nostalgic and sentimental. This little blonde, Athena that you see below and in a short music video from one of her kid photo shoots is (in my opinion) one of her most captivating models. Such a beauty. 

This particular photo shoot was shot this past spring for ses petites mains, a children's clothing company based out of San Francisco but found in boutiques nationwide. To see a few more images from this photo shoot, check out Ericka's blog. 

Well, there we are. Another great stylist that has so much to offer those of us looking for a dose of visual inspiration. I still can't believe summer is here. Even though our weather patterns have been thrown off, I'm thankful that mother nature has made up from last year's lack of warm weather with this year's early spring and summer. We've had such perfect weather these past few weeks (despite the lingering clouds of humidity)- I think this season's going to be a good one.
