It's little exercises like this that help me move forward and enable me to reach goals I set for myself, something I've been in desperate need of. Thanks to all you who have periodically checked in, it's nice to know that you're there.

I spotted this new book Creative Inc. in stores this week. It's basically a "how to" be a successful freelance creative and covers everything from portfolio work to dealing the legal issues of starting a business. The writers? Meg Mateo Ilasco and Joy Deangdeelert Cho, founder of Oh Joy. Check out this little promo video they made to kick off the book tour.

I found a website yesterday courtesy of Artisans Collective called Factory 20, a company that collects beautiful, unique, vintage items including furniture, lighting, art, objects and even apparel. There are truly some amazing finds on this site, all of which are for sale and for rent. What a great prop source for photo shoots, films, events etc...
